Facts about Mehler Texnologies Valmex PVC
Valmex PVC, manufactured by Mehler Texnologies in Fulda, Germany, is a blend of various high quality plastics and the highest available grade of plasticizer. It costs more than double the price of most PVCs. The core reasons that make this fabric preferable to Hypalon are the fact that it can be successfully thermo-bonded and its useable life span as a tube fabric is very similar to Hypalon, at a notably lower cost. Additionally, and very importantly, when boating in remote locations, it can very easily be repaired in the field if required. Valmex is the top of the range in PVC fabrics. The thermo-bonded version of Valmex tubes should exceed 10 years under normal climatic conditions and if maintained regularly.
